Uncharted Shores Embark On Four Month Skoollive Tour
LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts) When Northern California rock band UNCHARTED SHORES was looking for an alternative touring method, they found a ready and willing partner in the team at San Diego's SKOOLLIVE. This union has led to a four-month tour of middle and high schools, which kicked off last week (Tuesday, October 2) in Fresno. The dates extend into February 2013 and will take the California pop/rock quintet into schools throughout the state.

With dates in Northern, Central and Southern California, these shows will benefit from SKOOLLIVE's mission of finding a new way to expose unknown music artists to a mass audience, while at the same time finding a way to help these artists gain maximum exposure with each concert. Ultimately, the goal is to vastly improve a band/artist's brand value and exponentially increase their fan following.

For UNCHARTED SHORES-SEAN O'LEARY [Vocals, Guitar, Keys], SCOTT NAGAREDA [Bass], THOMAS HALL [Guitar], SKYLAR CAMPBELL [Drums], KLAUS CAMPBELL [Lead Guitar]-this tour kicks off at the right time as they begin to explore new territory under their new moniker.

Formed in 2009, the group was formed while two of the members (O'LEARY and NAGAREDA) were still in high school, the group began gigging locally under their original moniker, One Direction and in 2011 they independently released their full-length debut, The Light(which reached #48 on the Billboard "Heatseekers" chart).

The first couple of years were far from easy and breezy for what would become UNCHARTED SHORES.

"Early last year we were drawn into a high profile legal dispute with a U.K. band with the same name," O'LEARY says. "We reformed and regrouped, and are pushing forward harder than ever. Through that process, the band washed upon a new field. It's uncharted and we're ready to map it out as we go along."

On their second, self-titled album, the California quintet strikes pop rock gold. Infusing elements of alternative, indie, and electronic music into their sound, the group crafts 11 irresistible and invigorating songs. Anthems such as the single "Sink Or Swim" reflect the musicians' journey with honest lyrics, shimmering keys, and propulsive rhythms. Songs like the title track function as something of a call-to-arms for the band over a warm guitar hum. "That's the story of how this band started," says O'LEARY. "You don't know what's in front of you, but you move forward nevertheless. That's what makes this journey so rewarding."

With the CAMPBELL brothers and HALL in the fold for good as of early 2012, UNCHARTED SHORES stand stronger than ever. "This is the best lineup we've ever had," adds the frontman. "It's a dream working with all of these guys. They're incredible musicians, and we're locked in."
