Canadian Singer/songwriter, Connie Saulnier, Looks To Broaden Her Reach And Her Audience
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Wifi PR Group) Connie Saulnier has travelled a long way from the small fishing village in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, where she was born and raised, but she always returns home. Her travels have brought her across Europe, Asia and North America, where she has gained insight on life and worked to perfect her craft as an artist. Saulnier has let the world influence her music and lyrics and now she's ready to return the favor.

Saulnier wants to share her music with a larger audience. Towards that goal, Saulnier is promoting her recent album, "Impressions." The album was produced by Paul Milner. Milner has worked with major artists, Keith Richards, Eddy Grant and Matt Anderson. The album also got some help from veteran studio musicians: Dan Cutrona (Bee Gees, Joe Cocker, Tiffany, Al Green) played keyboards; David Woodward (Garnet & Stan Rogers, Loreena McKennit) played bass and acoustic guitar; Al Cross (Great Big Sea, Sarah Harmer, Big Sugar) played drums and Tom Vittaco, who has credits on KD Lang and Roseanne Cash albums, provided additional guitars. The result is a 12-track album of soulful folk that fans of both adult contemporary and rock and roll will find appealing.

Musically, Connie is influenced by Melissa Etheridge, Gordon Lightfoot, KD Lang, Blue Rodeo, Bruce Cockburn and Heart. Her music has been compared to Etheridge, Joan Armatrading and Patti Smith. For lyrical and spiritual inspiration, it was her travels through Europe and India, Nepal and Southeast Asia that has had a deep, lasting impact, not just on her music, but on her entire life perspective. These travels gave birth to her songs "Vision Mine" which she related to the novel, "Eat, Prey, Love." Another life event that informs Saulnier's music was her decision to leave Ottawa for Vancouver to pursue music on Canada's west coast. She left behind a long-term relationship, her home and her province of Nova Scotia, just to see where her music and talents could take her.

Her journey has been worth it, but Connie wants to go further with her career and bring her music to more people across the North American continent. Connie feels her greatest accomplishment was her performance at the 2012 ECMA (East Coast Music Association Awards) where she was able to meet and eventually work with producer, Paul Milner.

Saulnier wants to see her fan base increase as she gains exposure and explores opportunities for revenue for her recorded music and live performances. She would love to showcase in New York City soon. In the immediate future, Connie recently performed at the Music on the Sissiboo Festival in Weymouth, NS, Canada on July 12. Her upcoming tour dates include: Aug 16th- The Coal Shed Festival and Aug 18th at The Old Argyler Pub in Vancouver.

She is currently selling music through iTunes, Amazon and over 200 digital music retailers. Physical copies are available at live performances and brick and mortar shops across Nova Scotia.
