Sydney, AU. (SONY BMG MUSIC Entertainment) - Big news alert: The almighty Pearl Jam have a brand new single and album on the way! The first studio album from the guys since 2002's 'Riot Act' is as-yet untitled, but will be released later this year. The first cut from the album, 'World Wide Suicide', hits radio on March 13. A 15-second snippet of 'World Wide Suicide' has gone to radio already, so if you keep your ears open, you might be lucky enough to catch it! Billboard reports that the full track "resembles the groove-driven 1998 single 'Do the Evolution'".

"It's been a difficult record and it's like sometimes the harder something is, then the more valuable it becomes," Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder said during a Brazilian radio interview last year.

"It's easily the best stuff we've done but also some of the hardest stuff. It's very aggressive, because again, it's kind of a product of what it's like to be an American these days. It's pretty aggressive, especially when you turn it loud."
