Leslie Cours Mather Sets Screen On Fire In New Video "Hell Hath No Fury," Premiering Today!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Leslie Cours Mather sets the screen on fire in her newvideo, "Hell Hath No Fury," premiering today on Roughstock. Directed by 2013 ACMVideo of the Year award-winner Shane Drake (Little Big Town, Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift, Avril Lavigne) for Taillight TV, the sultry, "woman-empowered" scenes were shot in locations along California's Sierra Highway, including the VFW Hall in Canyon Country, and the Halfway House Café in L.A. County. Drake hooked Mather with his initial video treatment. "The concept centered on a 'Quentin Tarantino meets Patsy Cline-esque' scenario," Leslie recalls. "I was drawn to his treatment for two reasons: it was so cinematic and the character was very different from who I really am."

Leslie doesn't usually swagger around in black leather, a Concho belt or a cowboy hat either, but then the song itself is a bit of a step away from her normal fare. Written by Kelly Lang, the tale of a woman scorned is an anthem that carries a stern warning for cheaters everywhere. The single, produced by Denny Diante, prominently features Mather's confident, whiskey-soaked vocal, a full-blown contingent of horns on the chorus, and a Southern Blues feel throughout. The single is currently rising on the MusicRow Country Breakout ™ Chart (#72) and on the international Hotdisc Chart (#18).

"I love this song," Mather states. "And working with Shane to transition from song to video was incredible. There are dark aspects of the lyric that he highlighted simply by working with the play of light in the bar; close-ups where he captured real emotion. It was a great experience for me." Fans should be delighted to see the always fiery Leslie gaining retribution in the midst of smoke and flame.

Mather is gearing up for the release of her debut Christmas single. Always on the move, she'sjust returned to her California home after a full week of CMA Award week activities in Nashville. While in Music City, she escorted her two daughters to the CMA Christmas show and taped two international television interviews: Hot Country TV (Ireland), The Keep It Country Music Show (U.K.).
