New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Edward W. Hardy, acclaimed composer and virtuoso violinist released a performance video of his latest Edgar Allan Poe inspired composition entitled "Evil Eye". Back in May of 2018, this piece was premiered, along with the other two Poe inspired pieces Nevermore and A Fantasy, at his EtM Con Edison Composer-in-Residence concert at the Turtle Bay Music School. Hardy's "Evil Eye", and "Nevermore" were produced by himself, Jim McElwaine and recorded and mixed by Jonathan Jetter at Right Angle Recording, New York, NY.

As you listen, here's a slight spin on Edgar Allan Poe's Tell-Tale Heart:
It's true. I'm nervous. Very, very dreadfully nervous. I have been and am, but why will you say that I am mad? This disease had sharpened my senses, not destroyed, not dulled them. Above all was my sense of hearing acute. I heard all things in the heaven and in the earth. I heard many things in hell. How, then, am I mad? Observe how healthily, how calmly, I can tell you the whole story. It is impossible to say how the idea first entered my brain, but once conceived, it haunted me day and night. Object there was none. Passion there was none. I loved him. He had never wronged me. He had never given me insult. For his treasures, I had no desire. I think it was his music. Yes, it was his music. He had a violin. A pitch-black violin, that resembled the twinkling stars of a haunting nights sky. Whenever its music, his music, fell upon me, my blood ran cold. And so, by degrees, very gradually, I made up my mind to take the life of my little foster brother, and thus rid myself of his music, his gifts, his foreign talents, forever.
