New York, NY. (Galleria PR) - Nicky Siano and veteran promoters Benny Soto, and Erica Ruben of Purple Turf are launching a new monthly party GALLERIA featuring resident DJ NICKY SIANO, one of the most important DJ's to ever grace a set of turntables. Galleria will launch at Cielo club on Sunday, October 29, 2006. Simultaneously, Galleria will launch in London at The Key on October 20, 2006. The party will bring in dancers, live musicians and a diverse party crowd that will be encouraged to wear costumes, bring instruments, celebrate each other and dance. Themes will be set for each party.

Nicky Siano is the legendary DJ who ran the seminal club The Gallery in the early 70's, which most in the know consider the first disco. Nicky was the dj who pioneered the art of the seamless mix, the first DJ to produce a record and the man who gave Grace Jones her big break. Nicky was one of the original dj's for Studio 54. 30 years on from The Gallery Nicky misses the intimacy, DRAMA, and uniqueness of those early parties. After touring non-stop Nicky, a lifelong New Yorker, reflects on the warmth he hopes Galleria will bring to people:

In the 70's people were motivated by LOVE. The songs had words that supported the LOVE experience. The hippy generation of the 60's carried over into the club scene, and love was the message everywhere. Now, in 2006 we are ruled by the exact opposite, FEAR....our environment, governmental influences, and music, all have contributed to this shift...so when people go to a club, they are afraid to let go… to get to the point where they are OUT OF CONTROL WITH JOY.

"My parties have a reputation for creating an environment where people feel safe and can tap into the love vibe without defenses. I play records with positive messages and words. People sing along, becoming infected with the energy, they begin smiling and dancing with people they don't even know. It's wonderful."

Nicky feels that any type of music that is danceable has a chance of hitting his turntables including jazz, hip hop, house, techno, reggae, and yes, even disco. A full EPK, available upon request, provides rare footage of Nicky's lifelong work.

A Native New Yorker, promoter Benny Soto became enchanted with nightlife when he first went to Paradise Garage in the early 80's. Embracing the music, the energy, and the vibe of a vibrant scene he's gone on to become a fixture of the New York City club community. From promoting his monthly parties, 718 Sessions, Fresh Fruit, and Just Dance to being the occasional doorman at New York's super clubs, to managing some of New York's hottest venues.

Purple Turf producer Erica Ruben is best known for her decade of work as Executive Producer of Central Park SummerStage. While running the performing arts festival, she created internationally attended events such as Body&SOUL, Annie Lennox's first US appearance, the first concert featuring four generations of Bob Marley's family, Parliament Funkadelic's Mothership reunion, and Africa Fete. She now produces Deep Space, the award winning Monday night party at Cielo featuring DJ François K.

Cielo is an award winning state-of-the-art nightclub created by the visionary international club circuit dj Nicolas Matar. Audiophiles worldwide laud Cielo's state-of-the-art sound experience. It was voted 'Best Club' by DanceStar USA and received awards at the Club World Awards.
