New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Early Comparisons to Gov't Mule,
Eagles and
John Mayer Precede Road-Proven Band's Fall DebutSlate Creek Records announces a new addition to its growing roster that includes
Brandy Clark and Angaleena Presley - The Bros. Landreth.
"As songwriters and musicians, these guys have earned their comparisons to the
Eagles and John Mayer, and I knew we had to find a way to support what they were doing in the studio and on the road. Joey, Dave, Ryan and Alex are just in their twenties but their musicianship and storytelling is beyond their years," shares Jim Burnett, Slate Creek's CEO.
Born into a musical family, Joey and
David Landreth took to the craft early and quickly. Joey played guitar before he could speak, and Dave experimented with every instrument in the house before settling comfortably on his Dad's old Fender P-Bass.
To complete the band Joey and
David called on long-time musical cohorts Ryan "Rhino" Voth on drums and Alex Campbell on piano and harmonica.
All four twenty-somethings hail from the sprawling Southern Manitoban prairies and are fiercely proud to call Winnipeg home. "We're at the epicenter of this great artistic hub, smack dab in the middle of the coldest place in the known universe," Dave playfully exaggerates.
The Bros. Landreth will release its debut album Let it Lie - recorded throughout the dead of Winter in Southern Manitoba with the guidance of friend and producer Murray Pulver (Doc Walker, Tara Oram,
Crash Test Dummies) - on Slate Creek Records this Fall.
