PWR BTTM's Ferocious Dating Anthem "Answer My Text" Out Today
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) PWR BTTM today release their second single from forthcoming LP 'Pageant' (May 12, Polyvinyl) titled "Answer My Text" with no punches pulled. An anthem that could exist only in the modern age, "Answer My Text" finds Liv Bruce singing in narrative-like fashion to a prospective lover through trials and tribulations; from asking for their phone number to formulating the perfect emoji combination, the song takes these seemingly miniscule acts of affection and puts them under the lens of anxiety, hopefulness, and comedy. The lyric video directed by Mary Shyne plays out these moments in bite-sized vignettes that illustrate the absurdity of modern-day dating's minutiae, culminating in a sing-along, shouted chorus of "ANSWER MY TEXT, YOU DICK!"

'Pageant' is the Brooklyn-based duo's newest effort, and sees Bruce and Ben Hopkins exploring wider musical spaces (with choral backings, horns, and flutes expanding their sonic range) while growing even more intimate. The FADER calls the new record "punchy and powerful" with NPR Music calling them "louder, more glamorous and deeply personal." The highly anticipated new record also received early praise from Pitchfork, Stereogum, SPIN and more.

PWR BTTM performs at SXSW 2017 with a heavy schedule, including NPR Music, Pitchfork, Waterloo Records, Polyvinyl and much more to be announced. PWR BTTM are also on tour in the US and Europe throughout the spring and summer with their memorable live show which The New York Times called "part theater, part punk, entirely captivating."

An official music video for "Answer My Text" is in the works, and will be released later this spring.
