LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Grace/ Parkingsong Records) - Grace/Parkingsong Records announces the release of Ana Egge's Lazy Days, an ambitious collection of "lazy" cover tunes, on November 13th. What started as an inspired daydreaming alternative to writing songs, took on a life of its own with Ana's fifth solo release.

Lazy Days consists of Ana's take on ten relatively obscure tunes from a well known group of artists, tied together through the theme-weaving thread of laziness. With songs from Gene Autry to Le Tigre, Egge rediscovers some lesser known gems. A laid back labor, the CD was recorded in Brooklyn, NY and Austin, TX with guest appearances from musicians Anton Fier (Lounge Lizards, Golden Palominos), Tony Scherr (Lounge Lizards, Willie Nelson),Jane Scarpantoni (REM, Lou Reed) and Jason Mercer (Ron Sexsmith, Ani Difranco).

With a whirlwind career that started with songwriting at the mere age of 15, Ana has had ample reason to daydream about Lazy Days. From life on a small town farm in North Dakota, to a forced cross country move to New Mexico, Ana Egge's life has proven a worthy and restless muse. Her first release in 1997 River Under the Road, met with critical acclaim and earned her two Austin Music Awards. Ana followed with constant touring, both solo and with such artists as Lucinda Williams, George Jones, John Prine, and Joan Armatrading.

Ana continued to write and release three more solo albums including Mile Marker in1999, 101 Sundays in 2001, and Out Past The Lights in 2004. In addition she has contributed songs to Uprooted: The Best in Roots Country Singer-Songwriters, Forever Dusty: A Tribute to Dusty Springfield and My Old Man: A Tribute to Steve Goodman.

Lazy Days is the third release for Parkinsong Records, an independent non-profit label founded by the children of a Parkinson's disease sufferer and is dedicated to raising awareness for Parkinson's disease research.
Successful concerts hosted by Comedy Central's Jon Stewart and legendary Philadelphia DJ Pierre Robert led to the release of 38 Songs of Hope, a CD compilation featuring Bonnie Raitt, Crosby & Nash, and a who's who of Americana artists including Alejandro Escovedo, Steve Forbert, Neko Case, Dave Alvin, Dar Williams, Kim Richey, Jonatha Brooke, Kelly Willis, Terri Hendrix, Chuck Prophet, and Ana Egge. That successful release, chosen as one of NPR's Holiday Picks for 2004, was followed by the release of Ana Egge's critically -praised Out Past The Lights, and a third Parkinsong concert, hosted by actor Richard Kind, Michael J. Fox's co-star in "Spin City."

Inspired by its slogan "Music Is Hope,"Parkinsong is proud to again join forces with Grace Records to release Ana Egge's Lazy Days, distributed by MRI/RED Distribution.

Ana will continue to tour while her Lazy Days CD will hit stores on November 13th.
