WEST PALM BEACH, FL. (Top40 Charts/ Eleven Seven Music) - Sixx:A.M. embarks on the first tour of their career on Crue Fest beginning on Tuesday, July 1. The summer's most decadent rock festival kicked off in West Palm Beach and also includes Motley Crue, Buckcherry, Papa Roach and Trapt.
Sixx:A.M. was conceived by Nikki Sixx, James Michael and DJ Ashba as an all-star studio band to create the soundtrack to Sixx's New York Times bestselling book "The Heroin Diaries: A Year In The Life Of A Shattered Rock Star," which details Sixx's crippling drug addiction and the recovery that followed.
Since releasing "The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack" in August of 2007, the first single, "Life Is Beautiful," reached No 1 at Mainstream Rock, becoming the biggest hit on rock radio in 2008; the band is halfway to earning a gold record and will next go to radio with the track "Tomorrow."

The New York Post described "The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack" as "A modern-day rock opera based on his time in hell."

"James, DJ and I never had plans to take Sixx:A.M. on the road. But 'Life Is Beautiful' hit the top of the charts at rock radio and the fans kept asking for a tour. At that point, you just say F*ck it. Let's hit the road," says Nikki Sixx.

Sixx:A.M. members lent their studio expertise to the newly released Motley Crue album "Saints Of Los Angeles"; vocalist James Michael stepped back into producer mode while DJ Ashba and Nikki Sixx served as co-producers on the album - the critically acclaimed disc which is the first Motley Crue record to feature the original members in over ten years.

Later this summer, fans can emulate their rock idols when MTV releases "Life Is Beautiful" for download on their massively successful video game Rock Band. Also a partner of the Crue Fest tour, Rock Band will host contests on each stop on the tour, offering fans a chance to prove themselves as champions and to perform on the main stage as an "opening act." Crue Fest's line up features five headlining bands for the price of one.

Tickets, band profiles and exclusive content from all of the Crue Fest bands will consistently be uploaded at www.therockvine.com.
