Biography
There are 4 bands under the name Overtones:
1. Rock band hailing from Richmond, VA.
2. A surf-instro band, side project of the Frantic V, based in Thessaloniki, Greece.
3. Created by Allie Weitburg in September of 1997, the Overtones is James Madison University's oldest co-ed a cappella group. Since that hallowed day there have been many men and women to bear the name "overtone," but all have shared the same driving need...to sing their precious little hearts out and become part of a, well, "different" kind of family.
4. The Overtones are a five-piece harmony. They were discovered by a Warner Brothers talent scout while working as decorators in a shop near Oxford Street, singing during their tea break. Their debut album Good Ol' Fashioned Love entered the UK Albums Chart at #16 in November 2010. However, after the re-release of the album in March 2011, it propelled to #4. They have sold in excess of 500,000 copies of their first album.
