Perkins Twins


Jesse and Christian Perkins were born in San Juan, Philippines to an American father Tarny Perkins and a Filipina mother Tess Pazziuagan. At an early age, the Twins were exposed to show business and the glamorous sphere of Filipino entertainment. They attended Mother's School for pre-school and kindergarten. This school was started by the renowned movie producer of Regal Films "Mother" Lily Monteverde.

After 5 years of fun in the Philippines, the Perkins family moved to the States and settled in Menlo Park, California. They remained in the States for the next 13 years. Throughout their youth the twins played different sports including baseball, soccer, American Football, basketball and tennis. While the twins enjoyed and excelled at all of these sports, they followed their passions, which included basketball and tennis. At Menlo-Atherton High School, the twins were varsity players in both basketball and tennis (#1 doubles). In addition to their triumphs on the courts, the twins excelled academically with high honors, receiving an academic scholarship to the Univeristiy of California at Berkeley (CAL), one of the world's best public universities.

During the end of their junior year of High School, they were approached by a Filipino community newspaper (Bradford Adkins) for an interview regarding their success in tennis. Soon after, a renowned Filipino TV station ABS-CBN reached out to the twins for a short television segment that featured their lives both on and off the courts. It was as this shooting that the singing talent of the twins was discovered as they performed a small Tagalog song sample for the camera and also played guitar. After the segment aired, the twins were offered their first singing performance; a front act for the Teleserye Royals show in the Bay Area. After that performance they performed at various shows, most notably performing as the front act for the Three’s Company concert at the Masonic Center in San Francisco. Also during this time, the twins also were involved with numerous modeling shows and teamed up with their modeling coach and renowned fashion icon Charleston Pierce.

Though the twins were blessed with the scholarship to Berkeley, they elected to return to their roots in the Philippines to pursue their passions. They started their own tennis academy at the Edsa Shangri-La, Manila called the Perkins Twins Tennis Academy (PTTA). Recently the twins signed with ABS CBN Star Records, releasing their first single “Ikaw Na” composed by the renowned Vehnee Saturno. Their first album is also in the works with original songs by the twins. As the twins begin their athletic and singing careers in the Philippines, one thing is for sure – they are excited to be back!
