Biography
Yasin Abdullahi Mahamoud (born 11 January 1998), known as Yasin, is a Swedish hip hop artist who rose to fame with the release of his single "Trakten." He also released music under the moniker Yasin the Don and he has amassed more than 50,000 Instagram followers. One of his earliest releases was the single "Gå För."
He released music through his own labels Byn Block Entertainment (BBE) and Ghettosuperstars (GSSTV). He and fellow rapper Yung Lean were both born in Sweden.
He is one of the pioneers of Swedish trap music and has released two chart-topping albums: 98.01.11 and More to Life. He has also collaborated with other artists such as Dree Low, Haval, and Orio. He has won several awards, such as the awards for Artist of the Year and Hip-Hop/RnB Artist of the Year in 2021.
However, he has also been involved in legal troubles, such as being sentenced to 10 months in jail for conspiring to kidnap a rival rapper in 2020.
