APHACA was formed by four childhood friends—Rumle, Bertil, Bertram, and Noah—who met at the alternative school Det Frie Gymnasium in Copenhagen's Nørrebro district. The school's emphasis on creativity and democracy deeply influenced the band's ethos. Their name, inspired by the Latin term for dandelion (Taraxacum), symbolizes resilience and growth through adversity. Their music blends retro synths, acoustic guitars, and groovy rhythms, characterized by strong vocal harmonies and an organic interplay that resonates with youthful energy.
