APHACA was formed by four childhood friends—Rumle, Bertil, Bertram, and Noah—who met at the alternative school Det Frie Gymnasium in Copenhagen's Nørrebro district. The school's emphasis on creativity and democracy deeply influenced the band's ethos. Their name, inspired by the Latin term for dandelion (Taraxacum), symbolizes resilience and growth through adversity. Their music blends retro synths, acoustic guitars, and groovy rhythms, characterized by strong vocal harmonies and an organic interplay that resonates with youthful energy.

Et år uden dig (2022)

EPs: Mig Og Min Mund (2024)
Kan Du Mærke Suset? (2024)
In October 2024, the band released a vinyl compilation titled MAGNA, combining both EPs.

APHACA gained widespread recognition with their debut album Et år uden dig in 2022. Their live performances have been pivotal in building their fanbase, known for their emotional depth and energetic presence. Notably, their concert at Store VEGA in Copenhagen sold out, and their performance at the SPOT Festival in Aarhus attracted over 4,000 attendees, marking a significant milestone in their career.

In 2025, the band was invited to perform at the prestigious Roskilde Festival, where they were moved from the First Days program to the Arena stage due to their growing popularity. They also participated in the Heartland Festival at Egeskov Castle and were featured in Tivoli Gardens' Friday Rock series in Copenhagen.

In early 2025, APHACA's single "Smelter Under Månen" achieved commercial success, reaching #9 on the Danish Airplay Chart, further solidifying their position in the Danish music scene.
