NEW YORK (America Online PR) - Celebrating the release of their third album, The Chronicles of Life & Death, Good Charlotte will perform an intimate concert as part of the popular AOL Music LIVE series on Monday, October 4 at 9:00pm ET from New York City's historic Webster Hall. The concert will be broadcast live, exclusively to AOL for Broadband members at AOL Keyword: Music.

"We're all really proud of the new album, and are looking forward to it hitting stores," said Joel Madden of Good Charlotte. "It's cool that we'll have this chance to celebrate the release with all the fans on AOL."

AOL for Broadband members can watch the concert on demand for 10 days, immediately following the live broadcast. All AOL members and fans on the web can listen to the complete concert on Radio@AOL and Radio@Netscape, respectively. The entire Good Charlotte performance will also be available to AOL members who access the show through the AOL.COM service.

"Millions of members enjoyed our recent Usher and Nelly shows. Now, it's time to follow up with some Rock, and Good Charlotte is just the band to deliver," said Evan Harrison, vice president and general manager for AOL Music. "We are thrilled they chose to play for AOL the night before their eagerly anticipated release."

Good Charlotte's exclusive performance follows recent, successful AOL Music LIVE concert events with Josh Groban, Avril Lavigne, Alicia Keys and Hilary Duff. Recent concerts were played more than one million times in a week. Months after the original events, individual performances from these concerts still consistently appear on AOL Music's weekly Top 11 charts, often outpacing the traditional videos for the songs.

As part of this special AOL Music LIVE concert, fans are encouraged to donate to Keep a Child Alive (https://www.keepachildalive.org), an organization dedicated to providing life-saving ARV medicine to children and families with AIDS in Africa. The band will be featured in a public service announcement for the cause.

AOL will also make tickets for the event available through giveaways on K-Rock (WXRK-FM) in New York and several Infinity Broadcasting radio stations around the country. Fans can also get tickets at select New York retail outlets, street teams and from Good Charlotte's official fan club.

Good Charlotte was formed in Maryland in 1996 by a group of high school friends with an affinity for '70s style punk and mainstream rock. The band quickly made a name for itself by playing in and around the Washington, DC area, and garnered the interest of Epic records, who released Good Charlotte's self-titled debut album in 2000. Hinged on the success of infectious singles "Anthem" and "Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous," the release of their sophomore effort, The Young & the Hopeless, catapulted Good Charlotte into the mainstream, selling 4.6 million copies worldwide. The group took home The Viewers' Choice award at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards, along with the MuchMusic Video Awards for favorite international group, both with their video for "The Anthem." The Chronicles of Life & Death will be released on October 5.

AOL Music LIVE is AOL Music's enormously popular weekly concert series, launching each Friday at AOL Keyword: Music. These events feature some of the biggest names in music, often marking the release of a new album or to kick off a tour. Original AOL Music LIVE events have featured diverse artists such as Usher, Avril Lavigne, Josh Groban, Nelly, Foo Fighters, Hilary Duff, Alicia Keys and more.
