Among the new tracks on Neon Steeple is a duet with music icon
Emmylou Harris on "My Sweet Lord." His single "I AM" also holds strong in the Top 5 of Billboard's Christian
Music Songs chart. Further strengthening his ties into folk/country music,
Crowder will make his Grand Ole Opry debut on May 31, the week of his album release.
In support of Neon Steeple,
Crowder will headline a fall tour which kicks off in Springfield, MO on
September 30. The tour will include special guests All Sons & Daughters, Capital
Kings and
Ellie Holcomb on select dates.
As part of the
David Crowder Band, they were named one of the "most thoughtful, progressive and exciting acts in contemporary Christian music" by The New York Times, garnering 9 Dove Awards, 22 Dove nominations, and 2 GRAMMY nominations. The band's final release, Give Us Rest, entered the Billboard Top 200 chart at #2, debuted at #1 on iTunes, sold 50,000 copies in the first week alone, and gave the band their highest debut in their 12-year career.
