New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ VK Lynne) VK made the following statement on her Facebook page:

"No one ever promised me an artist's path would be easy.

I've been waiting for the right moment to make this public, and it seems like the time is now.

For 2 years I've been immersed in working on stOrk's new record, Broken Pieces, and anticipating its release. Then, this spring, Shane died.

I thought we could go on, keep his music alive.
But over the last month it has become more and more apparent to me that the true spirit of our particular incarnation of stOrk...died with him.

Effective May 22, after much thought and consideration, I tendered my resignation as the band's lead singer.

I don't know where stOrk will go from here, if a new singer will be brought on, but if so, I'd ask you to please show her all the support and kindness you've shown me.

I will always remain proud of the work done on Broken Pieces and honored to have been a part of it. But for me, it's time to close that chapter and begin a new one.

This was a very difficult conclusion to come to, but you all know me well enough by now to know that I don't make decisions lightly.
Thank you so much for all the encouragement and love you've shown me and this music during this journey.
