New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ USA Songwriting Competition) Since 1995, the 19th Annual USA Songwriting Competition has been honoring songwriters, composers, bands, and recording artists everywhere, and it's still possible to enter this year's event, after the deadline was extended to June 27, 2014.
The competition is open to all songwriters, bands and musicians regardless of nationality, with previous winners originating from across Latin America, Europe, Canada, Africa and the Asia/Pacific region.
Winners will be selected by a committee of music industry judges including record label publishers, producers, A&R from the "Big Three" record labels: Universal Music, Warner and Sony Music, and other distinguished professionals. Across 15 different categories, the winning songs can look forward to receiving industry exposure, radio airplay and its top writers will take home the grand prize of $50,000 in cash and merchandise.

On winning the 18th Annual USA Songwriting Competition in 2013, Dave Rublin commented: "We are so excited to win this competition. We entered this competition as unsigned acts, came out as top winner, signed to Island Records and we are now Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts!". Since he hit #1 on the Billboard Charts and went Platinum, making them the first winner of the USA Songwriting Competition to hit #1 and going Platinum. They have appeared on national and international TV: The Jay Leno Show, The
Ellen Show, etc. They are currently on tour with big name Pop groups "One Republic" and "
Script".

The 2007 winner hit Top 10 on the Billboard charts with his winning song. The 2005 Winner of the Country category had his winning song cut by Country
Superstar Faith Hill. The 2005 winner of the Pop category was signed by Interscope Records. The 2008 winner appeared on
David Letterman TV show and got signed to a record label.
