Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" was originally performed by The Shirelles in 1960, and written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King. Numerous music artists have performed the song since the original release. In 2004,
Amy Winehouse recorded it for the film, "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason," slowing down the tempo and utilizing a jazz arrangement.
The song continues another chapter following her new book "I Called Myself Cassandra." Baron's smoky arrangement parallels her struggles during a dark period when she was estranged from her husband and chronicled in her book - detailing the wrong turns and heartaches that have allowed her to recognize the gifts in her life and the message of a new sunrise. "
Will You Still Love Me" from her debut album, echoes these same experiences. "I wanted to make the songs of this album, including 'Will You Still Love Me,' like they're chapters in a book, to try to really capture what I'm thinking about in that season of life," she explains. Baron's debut album entitled, "Andrew Lane presents
Feeling Good At Any Age," will be officially released in its entirety in July 2014. With the official release of the Filipino-singer's album, others will discover what Lane calls, "an amalgam of sound that is genuinely fresh to the ears."
Baron's singular ability to blend tradition with contemporary color comes to the fore on this set of beguiling cover songs, which simultaneously capture the vintage, sepia-toned feel of her experiences with smoky and sultry sophistication of smooth jazz.
