British Academy Of Film And Television Arts To Support Game Music Connect 2014
LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Top Dollar PR) Game Music Connect organizers today announced that their 2014 international video game music conference, which returns to London's Southbank Centre on September 24, will be supported by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA).

Game Music Connect 2014 is honoured to be supported by the British Academy and delighted to welcome the composer who took home this year's BAFTA for best original music. Introducing 'The BAFTA Interview', in conversation with Game Music Connect co-founder John Broomhall, maestro Garry Schyman will reflect on and discuss his multi award-winning score for Bioshock Infinite.

Game Music Connect is for aspiring and professional composers of all backgrounds and those interested in learning about the art and craft of creating today's cutting edge video game soundtracks. Tim Hunter, Director of Learning and Events at BAFTA said, "Game Music Connect shares BAFTA's mission to champion creative excellence in games, sharing the insights and tricks of the trade of some of the most exciting names in games composition - including this year's BAFTA winner Garry Schyman, who will be the subject of 'The BAFTA Interview'. We're only too happy to be part of this passionate band of devotees, flying the flag for this specialist craft which makes such an important contribution to today's videogame experiences."

Game Music Connect is created by BAFTA award-winning composer James Hannigan (Command & Conquer and Harry Potter series) and noted game audio director, composer and industry commentator John Broomhall (Forza Motorsport 5, Transport Tycoon), to celebrate and explore the music of video games together with the extraordinary talent behind it. Featuring interviews, practical demonstrations and roundtable discussions with some of the world's leading composers, music supervisors and audio directors, tickets for Game Music Connect 2014 are available at www.gamemusicconnect.com.
