Dave Stewart Entertainment Announces Feature Film 'Zombie Broadway'; Production Aimed To Start 2015
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) DAVE STEWART ENTERTAINMENT has announced that pre-production has begun on the musical feature film adaption of DAVE STEWART's 2008 graphic novel (Virgin Comics) ZOMBIE BROADWAY.

Producers Pam Williams, David Jacobson and Dave Stewart are currently raising financing with an aim to start production on the film in 2015. Producers engaged the startup creative community financing firm, First Artist Ventures, to assist in securing early stage development support.

Screenwriter Cole Haddon is writing the project, which will feature original songs & music composed by Dave Stewart and Michael Bradford. Cole has a host of high-profile writing projects set up including Dodge & Twist and Leviathan at Sony and he most recently created last year's Dracula on NBC. In addition, renowned Swedish director Jonas Akerlund will helm the project; Akerlund has won three Grammys and numerous top directing awards for his work for artists such as Lady Gaga, Madonna, Paul McCartney, Coldplay, and most recently HBO's concert event "On The Run Tour: Beyoncé and Jay Z," among others. His past feature credits include the cult favorites, Small Apartments, Spun and Horsemen.

The ZOMBIE BROADWAY feature is a high-concept horror musical that's part "Rocky Horror," part "Bullets Over Broadway," set in a Zombie-ridden, apocalyptic New York where the fate of the city lies in the hands of the only surviving musical theatre troop putting on the show of their lives.

Producers Pam Williams and David Jacobson most recently put together the financing and produced Lee Daniels' The Butler, one of the most celebrated films of 2014 which grossed over $181 million worldwide. The ZOMBIE BROADWAY graphic novel was created by Dave Stewart, David Harris, and Christine Schenley.
