Jason Flom's Lava Records Black Veil Brides' Highly Anticipated Self-Titled Album Debuts At #4 On The US iTunes Album Chart
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Jason Flom's Lava Records) Jason Flom's Lava Records hits #4 on the U.S iTunes album chart with Black Veil Brides' highly anticipated self-titled album, available now. The album soared to the Top 10 in more than 20 iTunes markets. Black Veil Brides recently released the first video for the debut single "Heart Of Fire." The band's last release landed at #7 on the Billboard 200 selling over 42,000 copies its first week.

Flom, who was recently featured on the cover of New York Observer, has developed a star-studded artist roster at Lava including the "Royals" superstar Lorde, whose single from Hunger Games, "Yellow Flicker Beat," was the #1 most added song at Alternative Radio by a female artist in history. In an interview with the Huffington Post earlier this month, Flom said of Lava Records "[It's] a small company, we have less than a dozen acts signed, but our batting average is very high…It's really a wonderful moment."



Lava Records, which just celebrated its thirteenth anniversary, was founded in 1996 by Jason Flom in partnership with Atlantic Records Group. In 2009, Flom reclaimed the Lava imprint and entered into a partnership with UMG's Republic Records for new signings. The label is now the home to multi-platinum, award-winning artists Lorde, Jessie J and Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Flom has also served as the Chairman and CEO of music labels including Atlantic Records, Virgin Records and the Capitol Music Group.

Flom is also a philanthropist who has supported and championed various political and social causes and is a founding board member of The Innocence Project, a national litigation and public policy organization dedicated to exonerating wrongfully convicted people through DNA testing and reforming the criminal justice system. To date, more than 300 people in the United States have been exonerated by DNA testing, including 18 who served time on death row. He also serves as a board member for Families Against Mandatory Minimums, The Legal Action Center and The Drug Policy Alliance (a division of George Soros' Open Society Institute). In addition, Flom supports various medical research organizations including The T.J. Martell Foundation and City of Hope. He was honored by the UJA as their first "Music Visionary of the Year" in 2000, was awarded 1999's "Torch of Liberty" by the American Civil Liberties Union and he was the honoree at the 2009 Innocence Project Gala.
