Black Hole Recordings Presents Senadee's 'Robot Love'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) A major new artist signing to Black Hole Recordings' ever-expanding talent pool, the Breda-based label corp. are proud to present the first solo single from singer, producer & multi-instrumentalist Sena 'Senadee' Verdi.

Senadee's speedy rank progression has, over the last 12 months, turned into an accelerated blur, with the songwriter's talents sought by a range of tier-one electronic musicians - BT, Oakenfold, and Chicane among them. He is also a man with a string of professional film and TV credits to his name, having composed music for everyone from ultra-cult productions houses like RankinFilm to major corporations like Panasonic, Sky TV and numerous other networks around the globe.

The first release-fruit to fall from his forthcoming album's tree is 'Robot Love', a track that brings his all-tribes 'Breakfast Club' of musical influences dazzlingly to the fore. Tonal threads - ones as ostensibly diverse as rock, indie & alt-rock, through hip-hop house & trance are drawn together and super-compressed into one intensely catchy piece of airtime-beckoning music.

Spells in Tehran, Paris, London & New York have played their parts, small & large in the formulation of Senadee's musical genetic. Through it he's ended up with a singular style - one that nimbly slaloms around electronic music's established classifications.

His Original Mix sews together club-ready beats, hooky 8-bit/chip-tone riffs, Moog-ish sub-riffs and the Iranian-born/UK-based singer's vocals, which brilliantly, exotically mix raw, laid-bare emotion with redline pushing uplift.

Mix-side, Sweden's Zoo Brazil jump 'Robot Love' onto the house tracks, with a low-slung, slow-burning interpretation. Homing in on the emotional core of the track, John Andersson dubs, echoes and shuttles Senadee's chorus about the speakers, giving it a deeper quality and more haunting appeal. 'Robot' then affects a quick traverse to more laser-lit floors. Amplifying its peak-time credentials, by respective degrees Discover Records gurus Peter Hulsman and Lostly bring it melodic and full-soar trance elevation.

'Robot Love' sets a big precedent for an album of music that promises to be as provocatively imaginative as it is hyper-creative.

Tracklist:

01: Senadee - Robot Love (Original Mix)
02: Senadee - Robot Love (Zoo Brazil Remix)
03: Senadee - Robot Love (Lostly Remix)
04: Senadee - Robot Love (Peter Hulsman's Android Excursion Remix)

More about Senadee:

Sena 'Senadee' Verdi was born in Tehran, two years after The Iranian Revolution. His family left the country in the mid-80s and, after moving to Paris, they left to pursue a life in the UK. It was here that Sena spent many of his formative years.

Drawing inspiration from bands such as The Smashing Pumpkins, Oasis, The Stone Roses, Radiohead and U2, Verdi's musical interest always lay in the works of "bands with big ideas", a trait that is writ large in his own productions.

Unable to pay for the tuition fees, Verdi became a self-taught musician. By the age of 15 he had acquired the skills and disciplines to play guitar by ear and within a couple or years had translated his understanding of fundamental diatonic theory to become a proficient pianist.

Verdi's love of rock led him to enrol in a music college where he would eventually play guitar and become the principal songwriter for rock/pop outfit Paraya. After writing and producing the debut-album, Verdi landed the group a management deal. He left the band in May 2004 to pursue a career as a producer, singer and songwriter.

Over the next couple of years Verdi would work with various artists within the fields of Hip-Hop and R&B including MOBO Award winning rapper Akala, as a producer, writer and instrumentalist. It was at this time that Verdi's first foray into the world of hip-hop materialized when founded a neo-political rap group. Alongside his production duties in hip-hop and R&B, Verdi was involved in a sideline bedroom project that was to form the basis for his career as Senadee.

One of Senadee's songs, 'My Fault' caught the attention of up and coming producer Ben Gold (son of veteran DJ and Dance music pioneer Graham Gold). Gold used a sample of the song to produce what was to become one of the biggest underground dance tunes of 2008, 'Say The Words'. The song was showcased by Armin van Buuren and received heavy rotation on Radio 1 by DJs Judge Jules and Dave Pearce.

Senadee has since gone on to work with various top-flight producers in the world of dance music. These include Grammy Award nominated artist and producer BT, 3 X Grammy Award nominated producer & DJ Paul Oakenfold, dubstep pioneer Akira Kiteshi, Dutch production duo 16 Bit Lolitas, house production unit MYNC and most recently Chicane.

Senadee has been crafting his own unique brand of brooding, pathos infused indie-dance anthems, which lyrically and melodically touch the soul and has, of late, led to him sign his first album deal with Black Hole Recordings.
