Planetshakers Band's 'This Is Our Time' Tops Charts Internationally Amidst Acclaim!
Smyrna, TN. (Top40 Charts / Rick Hoganson Media) Capturing the energy, excitement and worldwide movement of Planetshakers Church, one of Australia's fastest growing church's in history, Planetshakers Band released globally its THIS IS OUR TIME CD, Deluxe DVD and digital download Oct. 21. As the church and its music transcends cultures, languages and geographical boundaries, the new recording immediately soared to the top of the overall charts in several countries during its first week at retail. The Deluxe edition of the album not only became the most downloaded iTunes album across all genres of music for a period of time in Australia, Malaysia and Singapore, but the 'standard' edition was simultaneously the second bestseller on the charts in Malaysia and Singapore. The album also hit No. 2 in New Zealand, No. 3 in Indonesia, No. 8 in South Africa and Top 10 in Columbia and in The Netherland's overall charts while going as high as No. 1 in South Africa and No. 2 in the US on the iTunes Christian/Gospel charts.

Recorded at this year's annual Planetshakers Awakening event in Melbourne, THIS IS OUR TIME celebrates Planetshakers' mandate to "empower generations to win generations." The CD/DVD is an anthemic, joy-infused project aimed at empowering the faithful, urging them to seize the day.

The album also features Planetshakers guitarist and producer, Joth Hunt, and worship leader and co-senior pastor, Sam Evans, co-writing for the first time with five-time GRAMMY Award winner Israel Houghton. The collaboration led to three stand-out-tracks on the album, including the Jesus-centered worship anthems "Covered" and "Stronger Than A Thousand Seas," as well as "Water Is Rising," an impassioned declaration of God's active presence in today's world and an invitation to press into His movement.

With RELEVANT Magazine set to feature Planetshakers in their Jan/Feb 2015 issue while streaming THIS IS OUR TIME now at https://www.relevantmagazine.com/the-drop/our-time, here is how the critics are responding to the new album:

"Lyrically, the album is a strong project from start to finish. Anthemic songs, powerful declarations of faith and congregation-friendly worship are just a few things the band does well, and they all shine through in a great way on this album." - NewReleaseTuesday.com

"Planetshakers…returns with a high-energy blast of worship from a recent gathering. And from the opening salvo of the title track to the closing 'Look To You' and 'Abba Father,' the energy never flags or wavers." - JesusFreakHideout.com

"THIS IS OUR TIME is an excellent album which has a little bit of everything. Pulsing, stadium-sized drums drive the upbeat songs, along with a vibrant blend of electric guitars and EDM (electronic dance music) inspired keys. A choir of gang-like vocals also contribute to many of the songs on this album… Go get yourself a copy. I recommend it!" - AllAboutWorship.com

"I can imagine that attending a Planetshakers worship event is a mighty powerful experience, because the songs captured on this album are amazing. And unlike many other worship albums there is not one weak or filler track in sight… every track is outstanding." - ChristianReview.com (5-star review)

"Planetshakers know how to write and record top quality worship music that will leave you with a sense of God's love and presence. THIS IS OUR TIME is an album about raising up people who are ready to fall in love with God and do His work in the world. If you want to be inspired and uplifted then this is the album for you." - LouderThanTheMusic.com

"Planetshakers THIS IS OUR TIME is a record that finds this collective really carving out their identity, blending genres beautifully while maintaining their focus on the message that they wish to share. And whether they're offering up EDM-flavored dance jams, modern worship anthems, or gospel-fueled choruses, you can rest assured that Planetshakers are giving you their all and then some and that it's going to be well worth the listen." - Soul-Audio.com

In addition to the new album, Planetshakers Band has also released its first full-length album in Spanish, Nada Es Imposible (Nothing Is Impossible). The album has been nominated for three Premios Arpa Awards, including for "Producer of the Year," "Best Rock Album" and "Best Album By A Group or Duo."

The band has further released the 2014 Dove Award nominated children's album, Nothing Is Impossible, and the Dove-nominated Endless Praise. When Endless Praise released in March of this year, it became the most downloaded iTunes album across all genres of music in Malaysia and Singapore, while hitting No. 2 on Australia's overall chart and No. 1 on the Inspirational chart and top 10 on charts in other countries around the world, including the US.

Having led over 200,000 people at a single event in Asia and sharing new music from THIS IS OUR TIME and other favorite Planetshakers worship anthems on a 15 country fall tour of Europe and Asia, the band returns to the US Nov. 7 for the NC Youth Conference in Raleigh, NC. The US tour then continues in Chicago Nov. 8-9, travels to Wayne, NJ Nov. 13 and hits the Fusion Conference in Orlando, FL Nov. 14-15, before wrapping up on Dallas, TX Nov. 22-23 at the "Brickhouse" Conference.

About Planetshakers Band:

As Australia's largest youth/young adult Christian movement, Planetshakers' goal is to see people encounter God, be transformed by His presence and empowered to make a difference in their world. While they tour internationally, the team remains based out of Planetshakers Church, a multi-campus, 12,000-plus member congregation based in Melbourne, Australia that is pastored by husband and wife, Russell and Sam Evans.

In addition to the music and message, Planetshakers Church is involved in numerous community and charitable causes including prison ministry, school programs, refugee outreach, disaster relief and welfare assistance. It also partners with World Vision to assist in urgent humanitarian crises around the world, and runs Planetshakers College in Melbourne, which equips local and international students to impact their world for Christ.
