Grohl joins Queens of the Stone Age

(Launch) - Foo Fighters leader Dave Grohl has long championed the cause of neo-grunge royalty Queens of the Stone Age, and now he's getting a chance to give them a helping hand...or two. Grohl, formerly the drummer for Nirvana, will return to the drum kit for a few songs on QOTSA's forthcoming album. However, a publicist for the Queens had no comment on when Grohl would be heading in to record with the band on tracks for the follow-up to "Rated R," and noted the album isn't on the release schedule yet. QOTSA and the Foo Fighters toured together last year.
