Hippo Campus Announce US Tour With The Mowgli's And Fences - Debut EP Bashful Creatures Out Now
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) This spring, Minnesota's Hippo Campus will venture out of their state for the first time on a national US tour in support of The Mowgli's and Fences. The tour will kick off on March 25th in San Francisco and will hit major US markets through May 8th. Find full list of dates and ticket links via www.hippocampusband.com. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, December 19th.

This announcement comes off the heels of the release of their debut EP Bashful Creatures and two advanced sell out release shows in Minneapolis, MN. Bashful Creatures was produced by Low's Alan Sparhawk and mixed by Brad Bivens (Kings of Leon, Ingrid Michaelson, Dan Wilson). Since its November 18th release, the band has been streamed more than 300,000 times on Spotify and has been met with critical acclaim.

Hippo Campus were just featured as a "Buzz Band of the Week" in the print edition of NME Magazine who said, "Thanks to the arrogance of youth, they're wise enough to eschew the Twin Cities' most deified forebears - The Replacements, Husker Du, - in favor of more contemporary UK influences like Wu Lyf and Bombay Bicycle Club."

The Wild Honey Pie said, "There's not a miss among the variety of songs on their fantastic debut EP..." while Interview Magazine stated "Hardly out of high school, four boys living just outside the Twin Citities create catchy indie pop rock as though they've been playing long past their teenage years."

The EP premiered with the NPR Music Station The Current out of St. Paul, MN. "All six tracks on their all-too-shortBashful Creatures EP reveal them to be a polished band that manages to be just as playful as it is sophisticated," says Andrea Swensson. "As a final chorus of voices rings out over fading guitars an air of anticipation lingers, and the promise of this exciting new group feels palpable."
