Hailing from Bristol, England's WAY OUT WEST began as the duo of music production prodigy Jody Wisternoff and the much sought-after underground DJ Nick Warren, who's also known for his work with Massive Attack. For over a decade, WAY OUT WEST have been ruling dance clubs with an inspired brand of house music that blends expansive, cutting-edge textures with moody vocal tracks.
Their first single, 1994's progressive house smash 'Ajare,' made an impact with die-hard clubbers.
Their follow-up single 'The Gift' was released in 1997 and became a huge success for the pair, landing them a performance spot on 'Top Of The Pops' in the UK.
Soon after, they released their seminal debut album Blue, which was highly acclaimed for its diverse use of influences, and in 2001 the duo broke into American consciousness with their second album Intensify (Nettwerk America) which featured the breakout hits, 'Stealth,' 'Mindcircus' and the title track.
Their most current effort DON'T LOOK NOW was released October 5, 2004 on Distinct'ive Records via Studio Distribution.
