New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Carving their own path forward through uncharted territory, THOUSAND FOOT KRUTCH members left major label life behind and independently unleashed two back-to-back No. 1 Billboard Hard Rock albums on their own TFK
Music label: 2012's The End Is Where We Begin and the current release, OXYGEN:INHALE, both with strategic management, marketing and distribution through The Fuel Music. The latter album released Aug. 26, 2014 and sparked the band's biggest hit single to date, "Born This Way." Resolving to continue to do it their way in 2015, the band takes its second single from OXYGEN:INHALE, "Untraveled Road," to Rock radio.
Having already hit No. 2 on the iTunes Rock Song sales chart and racked up more than 585,000 YouTube views and 6,500 likes, "Untraveled Road" is also adopted by the NHL's Ottawa Senators as their 2014-15 anthem and is being used in the "pump-up" video for the Montreal Canadiens' 2014-15 season. The song is like marching orders set to music with vocals delivered with hip hop urgency before exploding into a chorus that reminds of
Linkin Park at their catchiest.
"'Untraveled Road' is about standing up for what you believe in," says TFK frontman Trevor McNevan. "It's about not being afraid to take the first step, or be the first voice. It's about having the courage to be unashamed, and the faith you need to take a step before you can see the ground. The 'untraveled road' is symbolism for being at a crossroads, and having to decide which path you're going to take. Sometimes it takes everything."
Although OXYGEN:INHALE dares to lower the volume on a few songs and allow the melodies and words to soar, tracks like lead single, "Born This Way," and "Untraveled Road," are two adrenaline-fueled, "fists-in-the-air" anthems that have been tapped to fire-up the faithful in sports highlight reels. In addition to the placements for "Untraveled Road," "
Born This Way" has been featured on ESPN, NASCAR, Southeastern Conference (SEC) college football games, WWE and more, while picking up over 747,000 views and 6,900+ likes on YouTube.
Playing "
Born This Way" and Untraveled Road" along with a bevy of its hits and fan favorites,
Thousand Foot Krutch performed live for well over three-quarters-of-a-million people in 2014, were featured on the 23rd biggest-attended tours of 2014 according to Pollstar (Winter Jam), held headlining positions on the summer festival circuit after performing at the premiere festivals Rock on the Range and Rocklahoma for the last two consecutive years, saw capacity crowds on two tours of Russia and performed for Alice Cooper's annual Christmas Pudding benefit event last month.
