Jimmy Buffett and his
Coral Reefer Band will be performing a special show on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at the T.D. Waterhouse Centre in Orlando, Florida, to raise hurricane relief funds for Florida,
Alabama and the Caribbean.
"Surviving The Storm - Hurricane Benefit" is being presented and sponsored by Bank of America, Outback Steakhouse and Carrabba's Italian Grill.
As an Alabama native and Florida resident, Jimmy Buffett, whose love for the Caribbean is well known, has a deep connection to the area. This hurricane season has been especially destructive and left many residents with damaged property or homeless.
Buffett spends much of his time in this region and has written many songs about the unpredictability of hurricanes, volcanoes and other outbursts of Mother Nature.

Proceeds from this event will be deposited to the Florida Hurricane Relief Fund. The fund has been established as a separate account to aid in hurricane relief, and a public accounting of the Fund will be published every six months until it is closed. The Fund will distribute a portion of the proceeds from this event to hurricane survivors in Alabama and the Caribbean, as well as Florida.
