New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Guitar goddess Malina Moye is back with her second single - the radio friendly "Are You The One." Here she pivots her style in a Rock-soulful ballad approach, but never loses the ferocity that has earned her praise in such magazines as Billboard, Guitar World, and The Examiner. The new single slowly grooves to a mid-tempo beat with a healthy dose of sultry organ, thumping bass, and of course, ripping lead guitar. All of this paints the perfect palette for Malina to shine. Tugging hard on your heartstrings, the video follows a young woman (played by Malina) who is struck by a car and lies in a coma as her heart-broken boyfriend races to her bedside. Watching him in her hospital room from an unconscious state, she asks the eternal question "are you the one?" She now must fight to stay alive and break free of her coma to be with him again.
Their past is relived through black and white scenes, which are interspersed with a modern day passionate performance by Malina and her band - absolutely killing the song on every level. The video is an all around emotional roller coaster and you may feel your pulse quickening by the end. The video was directed by Steven Spielberg protégé and indie filmmaker Marc Fusco and produced by his Lore d'Morrow Entertainment. "Rock & Roll Baby" is available now on WCE/BDG/RED, a division of Sony
Music Entertainment.
Moye's first single "Kyotic" featuring the iconic Bootsy Collins debuted at the top of the Billboard Twitter 140 chart at number 5 and on Billboard's Hot Single Sales chart at number 11.
