LOS ANGELES (Atlantic Records) - After a stellar performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live and an appearance at a Tower Records in LA, the Donnas rocked the Virgin Megastore in San Francisco at their full-on live electric in-store performance last Tuesday night. By the time the band started playing, an excited crowd of 600 people had crammed onto the main floor. They sang along with the Donnas' lead singer Brett Anderson to every word of 'Fall Behind Me,' the first single from their new album GOLD MEDAL, which hit stores that same day. Tarra Gundersgaard, who managed the event for Virgin, called the Donnas' event 'the biggest in-store she'd ever had.' Following the performance, the Donnas took the time to connect with each of their fans as they came up to the table. There's a lot to be said for them being a great band, but you cannot overlook the fact that The Donnas are just about as upbeat and personable a group of people as you will ever meet. The Donnas kick off their month-long tour on Wednesday, November 3rd, at SmartBar in Chicago. They'll drop into the N. Clark St. Best Buy on Thursday, November 4th to sign copies of their new album GOLD MEDAL for their Windy City fans, so if you live in the area check out the Chicago Observer for details.
