Reggae singer 'Sydney Salmon' & 'The Twelve Tribes of Israel Band N.Y.' donates song and its proceeds towards land development in Ethiopia.

NEW YORK (Orthodox Muzik Label) - "Shashamane On My Mind" is the debut written and composed by performing artist, Sydney Salmon and The Twelve Tribes of Israel Band in New York, USA produced this very melodious rendition. As well as arranged with Maurice Clarke. It was Recorded in N.Y.C., at Asaph Studios Inc., and Ruff Stuff Recording Studio N.Y.

This single sings about a resting place on the mind of Rastafarians world wide. And was inspired by a speech of H.I.M. Emperor Haile Selassie I. 'Our solicitude is to do the things we can for humanity, which is the bond of perfectness, a true soldier's duty……'. This song was donated to the Twelve Tribes of Israel and the Shashamane Committee as a theme song for their Annual Housing Benefit for Shashamane, Ethiopia. All proceeds from the sale of this CD will go directly to the Shashamane Development Fund.

About Sydney Salmon
Sydney Salmon is a veteran orthodox reggae performer well known from coast to coast as well as through out the World. He may be most remembered as the lead vocalist with Souljah's band in New York. Recently he performed with legendary Jamaican song writer/performer Sangie (Horace) Davis in Los Angeles, CA. Prior to the 'Shashamane on My Mind Tour', which has him performing throughout East Africa.

Known for his performances in many functions held exclusively by The Twelve Tribes of Israel, an International Rastafarian Organization in New York. He is a long standing member and contributes his time as their musical band leader.

The Twelve Tribes of Israel hosts an annual housing benefit in New York called 'The Shashamane on My Mind Benefit' for the Shashamane Development Fund. It began in 1997 for members and well wishers to come together and lend their support in helping hands and contributions towards land development in Shashamane, Ethiopia. It serves the community by supporting its various approved development projects. As well as a source in providing information and presentations about the lands recent developments.
