S. CAROLINA (Top40 Charts/ www.farpointband.com) - On November 9th, 2004 Dalzell, South Carolina's own independent band FARPOINT will release it's 3rd studio recording titled 'From Dreaming To Dreaming'. Worldwide sales and local live appearances have allowed the band to continue writing, arranging and recording it's own unique blend of progressive rock with folk and bluegrass influences.
FARPOINT have shared the stage with local music success SEVEN NATIONS and former Mercury label recording artist GREY EYE GLANCES and have received many positive reviews from various magazines and Internet music resources.

FARPOINT consists of local musicians from Camden, Manning, Hartsville, Sumter, and Dalzell, South Carolina. FARPOINT was formed in early 1997 with the two founding members Kevin Jarvis and Rick Walker from Dalzell, South Carolina and over the next two years added to the line up with the addition of Dana Oxendine, Clark Boone, Frank Tyson, and Mike Avins.
The band's first official release was a song created as a fundraiser for the Special Olympics titled 'Just Like You' and was recently reissued for another fund raising charity in the Irmo, South Carolina school district.
FARPOINT continued it's efforts of giving back to the community by playing for the Children's Miracle Network, the Special Olympics and sponsored a fundraising event for the New York City Fire Department after the tragic events of September 11th, 2001.

FARPOINT has continued to write, arrange and release music that is honest, entertaining, and original while funding their own projects so that the sound and production is entirely of their own choice and not influenced by any outside source. Music for a fourth album is mostly complete and recording should commence in early 2005 after a live acoustic recording featuring alternate unplugged versions of their current catalog.
