DARK WITCH also will participate in a tribute to Brazilian band Harppia on a project undertaken by the Portuguese label Metal Soldiers Records with the release expected in 2015 and a compilation called Roadie Metal 3.
About DARK WITCH:
DARK WITCH started with Bil Martins (vocals, bass), Anibal Pontes (guitar, ex Rygel),
Daniel Chaves (guitar) and João Bernardo (drums), and their intention was play strong
Heavy Metal with lyrical themes such as the occult, mythology, history, etc.
DARK WITCH released their first self-titled demo 2001. Their sound is highly influenced by heavy metal bands such as Grave Digger,
Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, Iron Maiden,
Judas Priest and more.
After some concerts throughout São Paulo and also in other Brazilian states, DARK WITCH launched their second demo CD titled "Heavy Metal
Burns On" in 2004 and received some good reviews and interest from the national rock magazines.
In 2006 André Kreidel became the new drummer and Bil and André joined forces for the reformulation of the DARK WITCH line up. Cesar Antunha became the new guitarist who accompanied the band on their shows.
In 2009, after several shows and new compositions, the band started the process of songwriting for their first album. The guitarist Decio Andolini (Opus Tenebrae) is invited to join the band, quickly rewriting all solos and writing new ones for the new compositions.
Now the debut album is ready and called "Circle of Blood". It will feature 12 heavy metal tracks plus a bonus song titled "Voz da Consciencia".
