New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Veteran singer, songwriter and musician Victor Logan (known as Logan) has announced signing a deal with the Arizona-based label 13
Music Ltd. for his new complication album "Nexus Segue".
The new endeavor is an eclectic mix of rock and other genres, "I personally don't like being locked into playing just one style of music" stated Logan. "Music is mood; I enjoy diversity and my tastes lean mostly towards Rock, Jazz, and Symphonic."
Logan, an Arizona music industry insider, is hailed as one of the founding musicians who started the thriving music scene on the famed Whiskey Row in downtown Prescott some 20 years ago.
"Nexus Segue" will feature many of the talented artists who were apart of the fabric of that musical era, as Logan launched many popular groups over the years such as Warriors' Edge, NINE 18,
Velvet Thunder, as well as
stints with The Havenites and Sex Toyz.
Artists participating in the much hailed project include some of Arizona's top musicians such as Tory Edwards/Flotsam and Jetsam, Llory McDonald/Combo Deluxe, Tony Bruno/Major Lingo, and Allen Dissicini/My Enemyz Blood.
Logan auditioned many female vocalists in the region for the release but could only find true talent in Prescott singer Ashley Darling, who compliments previous leads also showcased on the album.
"Good
Music should take the listener somewhere" Logan said. "Nexus Segue takes its listeners on a journey, track by track as the story unfolds. Individually, there are certain songs that will resonate with certain people and I love making that connection through this unique experience"
"Nexus Segue" includes 18 tracks, recorded and engineered by Rick Cucuzza of the renown Prescott area Mockingbird Studio, and is scheduled to release this fall via the reformed label 13
Music Ltd.
