New York, NY (Top40 Charts) On March 30th 2015, DarwinBeats opens for early artist registration. As a cloud-based music storage and sharing platform designed specifically for independent, unsigned artists, DarwinBeats offers an unprecedented venue for up-and-coming talent to connect with listeners, garner acclaim and grab attention.
Using an algorithm that promotes the "natural selection" of music, DarwinBeats empowers the people who make and listen to music. Popular tracks will receive more listens and likes, in turn letting more people listen to and discover the artist behind them. Unpopular tracks will find themselves slowly phased out of playlists.
For artists and audiences, the platform is entirely free. Artists can sign up and upload their music, while audiences can listen to as many tracks as they want, as often as they want.
The app for audiences will be available for Fall 2015. Artists are encouraged to register immediately to begin building their profiles and uploading their tracks in anticipation of the wider release. Early registration also comes with perks, such as 20% higher royalties and free statistical reports once these are introduced.

Founded by Cou Kalantary in 2012, DarwinBeats began as a side-project to help unsigned artists connect with their audiences. As a musician and former band member, Cou experienced firsthand the challenges that musicians had to overcome just to reach their audiences. Check out the personal story of DarwinBeats.
"There is a certain disconnect between talented, but unsigned, artists and their prospective listeners. Historically, the record labels have helped bridge this gap by stepping in, working their magic and getting those artists signed. Inevitably, this meant that some artists made it, others did not. It was all about being found. Thankfully, we're now in a position where artists and their audiences connect in ways the traditional industry would have never imagined. The time has never been better for an app like DarwinBeats." - Cou Kalantary
After receiving strong feedback from artists and their listeners, DarwinBeats was reimagined in 2015 as a fully-fledged music sharing project. With a full team, and a singular mission, DarwinBeats is now ready for wider launch.
