Choices Recovery Discusses Overcoming Adversity With Film Producer Lisa Bruce
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Film producer Lisa Bruce, whose work on the recent Stephen Hawking biopic "The Theory of Everything" earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Picture, was just one of many notable Hollywood attendees at the EcoLuxe Lounge.

On February 21st, 2015, in the Stardust Penthouse on the top floor of the luxurious Beverly Hilton Hotel, Choices Recovery sponsored Durkin Entertainment's EcoLuxe Lounge and the "Salute to the Oscars" celebration. Organized by Debbie Durkin, the leading producer of sustainable product placement in TV and film, the EcoLuxe Lounge gathers together some of the world's premier providers of eco-friendly and socially conscious products and services to showcase some of what they have to offer.

Film producer Lisa Bruce, whose work on the recent Stephen Hawking biopic "The Theory of Everything" earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Picture, was just one of many notable Hollywood attendees at the EcoLuxe Lounge. Choices Recovery founder Per Wickstrom had the opportunity to speak with her for a few moments about substance abuse in the entertainment industry. "I think there's a lot of people in the movie business that have struggled at different times in their lives," she says. "It's not a 9 to 5 steady life, so you find a lot of people that have had hard times and a sort of an erratic past. So, there's a lot of ongoing recovery. I think eye-to-eye conversations and empathy helps."

Overcoming Adversity & Obstacles
"It was a pleasure to speak with Lisa at the EcoLuxe Lounge," Per Wickstrom later commented. "Her movie about Professor Hawking, 'The Theory of Everything', deals a lot with overcoming adversity and the obstacles that life throws at you, which is exactly what Choices Recovery is all about, learning how to handle life's challenges without resorting to using drugs or alcohol."

Other notable attendees of the EcoLuxe Lounge included Elise Robertson (Oscar Nominee American Sniper Best Picture), Jason Canovas (Oscar Nominee The Hobbit: Sound Editing), Elizabeth Yianni-Georgiou (Oscar Nominee Guardians of the Galaxy: Achievement in Makeup and Hairstyling), Ben Wilkins (Oscar Winner Whiplash: Best Sound Mixing), Kevin Sorbo (Hercules), Claudia Wells (Back To The Future), Jason Davis (Celebrity Rehab), Frank Stallone (Rocky), Chase Masterson (General Hospital, ER), Carolyn Hennesy (True Blood, That 70's Show) and many, many others.
