New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Emerald & Doreen Records is smiling.
These basslines are dreamlike, these toes are made for dancing: young Argentinian producer Matias Sosa is doing great in accomplishing that easy-going deep house y' all love. So keep in mind: „La Noche" will be your title of choice.
The title track „La Noche" jiggles and jaggles in all floor-filling clouds imaginable. In the second part, a wahwah-guitar and some soulful voice-samples do the hole-in-one.
„El Día" provides for a more mundane version, letting in the light of the sun so that the vampires can take some rest. „Humfrey" is giving the treats to its percussion-lead rhythm background by means of a dreamy piano. „El Alma" provides for a break, some contemplative piano work that it is. „Paranoia" destroys that garden eden feeling by random arrangements of glockenspiels, found sounds, and uncontrollable effects of sound mirroring. In „The Wolf", Sosa shows us a dark, yet decided take on strolling congas, bass drums, and low string arrangements. „Duende" is a play-, if not joyful playground of ye good ole sampledelics.
With its crystaline melody and bits and pieces of seagulls singing and beaches being washed out, the closing tune „Cries Of Calm" could sound a little too classic for an ambient tune. You might guess. Until you hear that catchy figure of sounds that will stay in your head. Forever.
