NEW YORK (Twisted Sister Official Website) - Twisted Sister frontman and radio personality Dee Snider recently visited the world's largest aircraft carrier, the USS Nimitz, to tape a VH 1 Classic Thanksgiving special that features video requests and dedications from crew members serving on the aircraft carrier. While aboard the Nimitz, Snider also hosted a live broadcast of his radio show on Philadelphia's WMMR and performed such infamous Twisted Sister hits as " We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock" with a band drawn from the crew of Nimitz. "I was flattered to be asked," said Snider. "With all the political wrangling and dissention, and people unsure about the war in Iraq, we want service members to know nobody's unsure about their feelings toward them." The band members were: Christopher Petit - Interior Communications Electrician 3rd Class - guitar (solo: Highway to Hell, Rock and Roll, Can't Stop Rock and Roll), age 24 from Biddeford, ME. James Bednarek III - Machinery Repairman 3rd Class - guitar (solo: We're Not Gonna Take It, I Wanna Rock), age: 27 from Racine, WI. John Coleman IV - Hull Maintenance Technician 2nd Class—bass, age 22 from Bothell, WA. Joshua Campbell - Naval Musician 3rd Class—drums, age 26 from Azusa, CA.
