Pianist/Producer Fiona Joy Tours China In Cultural Exchange
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Elegant and soulful, contemporary and classical, all of these elements are part of Fiona Joy's graceful yet emotional solo piano performances of her original music, which she is sharing with Chinese audiences throughout April as part of a cultural exchange tour at the invitation of the Chinese government.

The award-winning Australian citizen is an independent artist, producer and painter known for her pioneering attitude toward composition and recording formats; she will also perform for audiophiles this May 30th at T.H.E. Show in Newport Beach, CA in the United States.

Departing from Sydney, Australia, the first leg of her tour of China includes performances at a variety of large halls and theaters, with part two of the tour to be announced next week. Cities to date include:

• 23th April - Daning Theatre (Shanghai)
• 24th April - Grand Theatre (Tianjin)
• 25th April - Grand Theatre (Linyi)
• 26th April - Concert Hall (Nanjing)
• 30th April - Xiangyang
• 3rd May - Yantai
Fiona Joy has self-released over a dozen albums, in a variety of formats including vinyl, SACD, CD, DSD and hi-quality Mp3. Her latest is Signature - Solo, a new album in which each song is a modern, (and sometimes darker) fairytale; it is her first solo piano release, produced by Cookie Marenco for Tiny Island Music. It is available for preview and purchase in a variety of physical and digital formats at https://tinyislandmusic.bandcamp.com/

Marenco shares insights on Fiona Joy's music, saying "Fiona's music is a cross between George Winston's simple melodies and Ludovico Einaudi's musical sophistication."

On this album, Fiona Joy makes her vocal debut on the song "Once Upon Impossible (Duet)." Additionally, a poignantly simple original version of the popular song "Grace" appears on the album with vocals; earlier this year, a remixed version of the song was part of this year's Best New Age Grammy®-winning album.

Concert reviewer Michael Diamond, who attended Fiona Joy's 2014 Throckmorton Theatre concert in San Francisco where she first performed "Grace" and other pieces from Signature - Solo, commented "What I appreciated most was being able to listen and watch Fiona at the piano. The passion and elegance in her performance was breathtaking, as her flawless technique combined with pure emotional expression."

The Australia-based pianist/composer/producer and, now, vocalist adds "I hope that with all of these fantastic audio formats, every fan will be reached, and you will hear my feelings in these songs; they are dedicated to saving that small place in everyone's heart, the place where fairytales linger, and where we find the strength to meet our reality...with grace."
