John Jones To Release Gospel Flavored 'The Book Of John Pt. 1'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Recording artist John Jones is proud to announce the release of his new album, a gospel flavored soul experience entitled, The Book of John Pt. 1. This album breaks new ground for John Jones, creating inspirational music that is not "holier-than-thou". He believes everyone in the world is a sinner and that we are all W.I.P. a.k.a. Work in Progress. John calls this project "inspirational music for sinners." "W.I.P" is the first track on the album. The song is John's personal testimony on his faith and features John's unique blend of Hip Hop & R&B. The second track on the album is "Praying Mothers," an up-tempo gospel song that pays tribute to the mother's of the world. This song is dedicated to John's mother who passed away on Valentine's Day of this year.

The songs "Hold On" and "Yearbook" reunite John with platinum selling producer Chiba Antoine. In the song "Hold On," John sings about the displaced people in New Orleans. Those who have relocated due to Hurricane Katrina and have yet to return. "Hold On" is another personal testament to faith and hope. The album also features collaborations with Preston Fullwood. John and Preston have been writing and recording R&B tunes for over 10 years.

The Book of John Pt. 1 will be available on Amazon.com and iTunes on May 19 , 2015.

"We all have a lot of work to do in order to go to heaven. Even preachers are WIP's. I get annoyed with those gospel artist who come across as if they've made it to heaven already. That's the very thing that turns people away from church and the word of God. I want The Book Of John Pt. 1 to make everyone feel welcomed. Come as you are and know that we are all in same position. God loves the preacher just as much as he loves the person struggling with sin or weakness. No one should feel like they're not ready to be in the house of the lord." - John Jones

John Jones was born and raised in Brooklyn NY. Although he resides in Union County New Jersey, he is still Brooklyn all day. As a child growing up in Brooklyn, John attended The Brooklyn Tabernacle, a non-denominational chuch. His experience at the church "amazed" John and he still returns to Brooklyn to attend service. John served as a junior deacon for Reverend Gregory K. Stanislaus. This experience left a lasting impression on his life and he is proud of his service. John also attended the NYC Church of Christ when it was at The Beacon Theater. The Book Of John PT. 1 is inspired by my upbringing and things I've seen and done in my life. This is part 1 but there's more to come.
