New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Following the hugely successful 2014 U.S. launch of the
Modern Sky Festival in New York-as well as eight years of explosive growth at home-Modern Sky's namesake music festival will expand to two U.S cities in 2015, bringing a wide-ranging musical and arts gathering to Central Park's Rumsey Playfield in New York on October 4 and Seattle's Mural Amphitheatre on October 11.
Artists confirmed so far include Gang of Four,
Black Lips, Ariel Pink, Mark Sultan, Lower + Chinese artists Song Dongye, New Pants, Hedgehog, and Miserable Faith. Additional artists to be announced soon.
The
Modern Sky Festival was first produced in Beijing in 2007. Today, that event is one of 20+ large-scale music festivals, boasting a cumulative attendance of over 710,000, produced in cities throughout Mainland China by
Modern Sky Entertainment, China's leading music entertainment company. In 2014
Modern Sky brought their unique vision to New York for the first time with a festival that featured Cat Power, Atomic Bomb! The
