 NEW YORK (WildFire Publicity) - Wrapping up a three week residency at Pianos in New York City, Marwood gets set to head out on the road with a show scheduled at Iota in Arlington on Thursday December 9th. Marwood has performed countless shows over the past year, sharing the bill with artists including Antigone Rising, the Sam Roberts Band and Rooney, and performing to sold-out crowds at Pianos and the Village Underground. The band was recently distinguished out of two hundred bands as a finalist in NYC's M.E.A.N.Y. festival, with the winner to be decided at the end of December. The band's sound is pure guitar-driven rock, full of catchy melodies and hip rhythms that has New York Newsday deeming it "stunning alternative pop." Their enthusiastic and captivating live show continues to thrill die-hard fans as well as attract new ones. Marwood is gaining momentum on the airwaves. The song "Souless" was featured on Clear Channel's Q104.3 FM in New York City, where they were selected as a top local band. XM Satellite Radio is also spinning Marwood's music, as well as a myriad of college stations in the East.
