Controversial "Alone Yet Not Alone" #1 DVD In Release Week
New York, NY (Top40 Charts / ChristianCinema) The moving historical drama ALONE YET NOT ALONE was the best-selling independent release in its release week according to ChristianCinema.com. "It's consistently been a top seller with a message that is resonating with faith and family customers during these turbulent times," said Jared Geesey, VP of ChristianCinema.

Jimmy Wheeler, VP of Sales for Provident, is seeing interest in brick and mortar as well as online sales. "ALONE YET NOT ALONE has exceeded all our expectations."

Additionally, the film is setting another record as the first Christian film to be sold as a DVD + HD digital combo pack. "We believe the strong DVD debut is a result of the added value of HD Digital through Christian Cinema's newly launched Transactional Video On Demand platform plus ALONE YET NOT ALONE's strong branding and pent up demand from the nationwide theatrical release," said Bobby Downes, CEO of ChristianCinema.com.

The film adaptation of Tracy Leininger Craven's novel by the same name, ALONE YET NOT ALONE gives life to an inspiring true story of survival and faith. Set in 18th century North America, the film depicts the harrowing journey of colonists and sisters Barbara and Regina Leininger as they struggle to survive being kidnapped by Delaware Indians after their family is murdered in the Penn's Creek massacre.

After having its Oscar nomination for Best Original Song (for "Alone Yet Not Alone") rescinded shortly after nominations were announced, the film became the subject of some controversy during awards season. The song has since been downloaded more than one million times on YouTube.com.

Set in 1755 in the midst of the French and Indian War, ALONE YET NOT ALONE is the heart-wrenching story of two sisters torn from their family and then each other by vicious local natives. Only their faith and the words from a childhood hymn, "Alone Yet Not Alone" (performed on the soundtrack by Joni Eareckson Tada) keep them going as they spend years held captive by local tribes. When her situation threatens to grow even worse, one of the sisters, along with three other captives, must risk a 200-mile journey through the wilderness to potential freedom, all while avoiding capture by the tribe's best warrior, who is in pursuit.

Kelly Greyson (RETURN TO THE HIDING PLACE) stars in the gripping film alongside actor/musical artist Clay Walker (CLAY WALKER: JESSE JAMES, SPACE COWBOYS) and Jenn Gotzon (GOD'S COUNTRY, FROST NIXON). James Richard's screenplay was co-directed by George Escobar and Ray Bengston.

ENTHUSE ENTERTAINMENT
Enthuse Entertainment's vision is to produce faith-based, family-friendly films that inspire the human spirit to seek and know God. ALONE YET NOT ALONE served as the company's premier release.
