Joey Alexander Performing At Town Hall In October, Adds Fall Dates + Talks To NPR Weekend Edition

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Joey Alexander, the wildly talented young pianist who released his debut, 'My Favorite Things,' in May and was featured on page 1 of the NY Times, on NBC's Today Show and Nightly News, has added a number of live shows to his schedule. They include his first-ever West Coast run and stops in Boston and Washington, DC. He will be also be a featured guest with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra for two nights at NYC's Town Hall on Oct 23 and 24, celebrating the music of one of Joey's heroes, Thelonious Monk.

Joey recently performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival opening for Wayne Shorter, and played two sets in his Newport Jazz Festival debut.

He was also recently interviewed on NPR's Weekend Edition. He discussed learning how to play jazz piano on his own at just six years old in Indonesia by listening to his dad's record collection.
