VCXC Organizes The "Belief Campaign" Targeting A First Ever Global Cease Fire
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The Voice Communication Exchange Committee (VCXC), originator of the IP transition as Grand Challenge and HD voice migration, announces the Belief Campaign engaging communication industry leaders in the cause of a global cease fire. The campaign takes inspiration from the Belief Team supporting the Oprah Winfrey Network's landmark Belief Series on the human dignity unifying spiritual practices around the world. The Belief Campaign provides a means to channel the energies of the globally coherent public sentiment John Perry Barlow identifies as the force unleashed by the Internet in the original Declaration of Independence of Cyberspace posted from Davos in 1995.

The Campaign kick-off includes producing the Belief Song with three-time Grammy Award winner Ozomalti and a multi-artist performance as an update to the approach pioneered with the iconic "We are the World" benefit song. The recording session takes place at East West Studios in Los Angeles on September 26, 2015. The proceeds from the release of the Belief Song benefit Télécoms Sans Frontière (https://tsfi.org) and Independent Diplomat (https://independentdiplomat.org), a diplomatic advisory group that helps the most needy to be included in diplomatic decision-making.

The novel Belief Campaign engages the multi-trillion dollar communication industry as a stakeholder in reducing global conflict. Communication and military spending serve as indexes for the relative degree of global conflict, because they serve opposing modes of human interaction. The prospect for expanding communication infrastructure shrinks as conflict increases, so there exists an untapped common cause between peace groups and the communication industry.

"Everyone recognizes the expanding reach of the Internet and proliferation of mobile phones as a communication miracle," said Daniel Berninger, founder, VCXC. "The Belief Campaign harnesses the new globally shared experience of day to day events arising from these expanding communication options toward the cause of a first ever global cease fire."

"The possibility of direct public action as a new and powerful force on the geopolitical landscape motivated the founding of Independent Diplomat in 2004," said Carne Ross, founder, Independent Diplomat. "The Belief Campaign provides an interesting test of direct public action and an exciting departure from diplomatic and military business as usual."

VoIP pioneer Daniel Berninger launches the initiative in support of the Oprah Winfrey Network's Belief Days of Compassion and Healing along with hundreds of other organizations contributing to the celebration the United Nation's International Peace Day on September 21, 2015.
