Blues Rock Rising Star Davy Knowles Will Be Performing As The Opening Act For The Legendary George Thorogood And The Destroyers
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) In the wake of an amazing and ongoing tour, former Backdoor Slam Front man and Blues Rock rising Star, Davy Knowles is set to open for the legendary George Thorogood & The Destroyers at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills on Thursday, September 17th. For more information about his ongoing tour and performances visit www.DavyKnowles.com.

The ongoing tour by Davy Knowles is in support of a series of new blues recordings scheduled for release in 2016, his latest studio album 'The Outsider' and his upcoming film documentary 'Island Bound'. In addition to prolonged radio and digital media campaigns, Knowles will hit clubs and festivals across the country, including venues in NYC, Chicago and also Joe Bonamassa's prestigious 'Blues Alive At Sea' cruise in February 2016.

At such a young age, Knowles is already a veteran to the stage and is steadily racking up praise from critics and his idols alike. He's been dubbed as a "favorite modern day bluesman" by the iconic Joe Satriani and has toured with countless other amazing musicians; from Jeff Beck, Buddy Guy, Warren Hayes and Joe Bonamassa.

Throughout this musical journey, Knowles has kept 'the blues' close to his heart and that is one of the things that has garnered him praise; "I love the guitar as an instrument, its so versatile and endlessly challenging, but whilst I will try play any style to meet that challenge, blues is the music I first fell in love with, and I have always connected deeply with it."

About Davy Knowles
The journey began for Davy Knowles growing up in the Isle of Man, learning to play guitar from listening to the likes of Gallagher, Clapton, Knopfler, Green and Mayall in his father's record collection, and honing his skills playing the local music circuit. Fast forward several years later and Knowles has already shared the stage with many of the same people that inspired him to become the amazing musician he is. He has played opening sets for several iconic artists including The Who, Kid Rock, Joe Satriani and Lynyrd Skynyrd. He was also one of a handful of artists that were selected to play live to Astronauts on the ISS from mission control in Houston. He has also toured extensively around the world.
