BIRMINGHAM, AL. (Ruben Studdart Fans Website) - "American Idol" winner Ruben Studdard has been hospitalized in his hometown of Birmingham, Ala., just as the new album 'I Need An Angel' released yesterday and arrives in the stores.
A spokesman from Los Angeles said that 'Ruben is suffering from exhaustion, although more tests were due to be per formed.' His appearances at Alabama State University (Wednesday), Atlantic City (friday) and New Jersey (Saturday), have been canceled.

Ruben's first album "Soulful" sold more than 1 million copies. The new album 'I Need An Angel' goes back to his gospel roots and features traditional songs like 'Amazing Grace' along with a few tunes he wrote himself.
