8 Forty 8 is a rock band formed in 1989 by Koretz brothers, Marcel and Simon. Based in Hamilton, New Zealand the band has performed and recorded an array of exceptional original music. their debut album Edge of Time won the 1993 Rock FM Album of the Year Award and received widespread radio play with the song Don't Turn Your Back-The Bands 1993 single on high rotation.

The current lineup involves four of the Koretz brothers: Marcel (vocals), Simon (guitar and vocals), Nathan (drums, sax, vocals), Sam (guitar) and Craig Sutherland (bass).
