NASHVILLE, TN. (R. Halperin) - Kamoshin has finally released his long awaited debut EP entitled The Art of Noise. Hailing from Murfreesboro, TN, the 22-year-old music business major is a true hip-hop artist as well as a fan. He has been developing songs now for 4 years and performing shows locally in Nashville and out of state. His influences include A Tribe Called Quest, Gangstarr, Talib Kweli and Atmosphere just to name a few. His love for music shines through his work and drives him to consistently produce new material. The Art of Noise EP is a diverse collection of Kamoshins creativity blended with a variety of topics, moods and tempos. There is a full range of feelings that are displayed throughout his music. Songs such as Transportation Troubles, which involves riding around town without the finest of vehicles, while making due with what you have, and Oh No, which tells the tale of two cases of mistaken identity while out at the club, provide a humorous note to the album. This EP also has some more serious songs such as Box of Issues, which takes a deeper look into Kamoshins heart and pours out emotion and Strangers, a look at a painful relationship, which provides a twist on the traditional love song. On The Art of Noise, Kamoshin has worked with a multitude of producers. Each has their own signature sound, which stands out from most producers. First, BOOM BAP, from Chattanooga, TN is the executive producer of The Art of Noise. Other producers on the album include 24-7, (a.k.a. Out of Place) from Nashville, Weezl, who is also from Nashville, and Inkline, who is from Alabama. Kamoshin has been featured on many compilations from Nashville to Alabama. He works and performs with a range of artists showing diversity in his stage show by adding DJs and a live guitar. He breaks the mold of what todays misconception is of the hip-hop artist.
